The personal story behind Hopeful hearts

Hi! My name is Dee - a proud mom, lifelong learner, and passionate advocate for early childhood education and autism awareness.

I’m a Certified ABA Therapy and Early Intervention Specialist and hold certifications in SPED Early Childhood Education and Care. With a degree in AB Psychology, my professional journey spans over 15 years as a Virtual Assistant and entrepreneur, balancing my thriving career with my most cherished role: being a mom to five amazing children.

When my FOURTH child was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (Level 2) with Sensory Processing Disorder, it felt like our family stepped into an entirely new world—one filled with uncertainty, questions, and an urgent need for answers. Like many parents, I was overwhelmed. But I refused to let fear paralyze me. Instead, I leaned into my instincts, fueled by love and determination, and began a journey of relentless learning.

I didn’t stop researching. I didn’t stop studying. I wanted to understand every nuance of autism and how I could best support my child. In my pursuit of knowledge, I uncovered something that changed everything: the distinction between Virtual Autism and Classic Autism. That was the moment it all clicked. I realized that this knowledge could empower parents to identify not just if their child is on the spectrum, but also what type of autism they may have.

This realization ignited my mission: I wanted every parent to have this understanding as early as possible so they could tailor interventions specifically to their child’s needs. Early intervention is not a one-size-fits-all approach—it’s a personalized journey. Knowing the type of autism your child has allows you to create strategies molded to their unique strengths and challenges.
